Hi friends,
I would like to know that what is the scalability option?
-
A system whose performance improves after adding hardware, proportionally to the capacity added, is said to be a scalable system. Scalability refers to the ability of a site to increase in size as demand warrants. The concept of scalability is desirable in technology as well as business settings.

These links work very well. I'm also looking for the same.

There are two options for scalability in Webhosting.
1 Vertical scaling.
Vertical scaling, or scaling up, usually involves increasing workloads and adding resources to existing systems. Vertical scaling can essentially resize your server with no change to your code. It is the ability to increase the capacity of existing hardware or software by adding resources. Resources like the number of CPU cores, bandwidth, disk space, and RAM can be allocated based on demand.
2 Horizontal Scaling.
Horizontal scaling involves expanding hardware resources to allow greater workloads. Horizontal scaling means adding additional devices, computers, or systems. Horizontal scaling provides the ability to scale wider to deal with increased workload/traffic.
-
Scalability can be measured over multiple dimensions, such as: Administrative scalability: The ability for an increasing number of organizations or users to access a system. Functional scalability: The ability to enhance the system by adding new functionality without disrupting existing activities.

A system, business, or software that is described as scalable has an advantage because it is more adaptable to the changing needs or demands of its users or clients.

Morning.
Long time reader of this forum but, first time posting here.
I was reading on the Performance/Load Testing forum when a I like to the know the following:
What does your LoadType option do, anyway?
Please clarify.
Thanks
