Well, rockhoster.com (https://rockhoster.com/) web hosting service has been excellent and top notice thus far.
I love the speed of the site, the uptime, the support when needed and the features (the automatic backups are wonderful especially).

Great experience so far. I have a "plus" level shared hosting account running 4 or 5 simple Wordpress websites.

VPS plans from hostingsource.com and libertyvps.net are worth trying.
Super easy to manage and always available. Their customer support is excellent. They usually respond in 5 to 10 minutes and are very interested in getting your problem resolved immediately. I highly recommend them!!
