To improve your WordPress site’s speed, remove unused plugins/themes that are slowing down your website that may also eliminate any uncomfortable side-effects of the plugin/theme.

Also, optimize images to reduce image size, check for out-of-date WordPress version and update it to the latest release. Optimize page load time by doing page elements load in the order of importance while loading.

Other than the FLATsite plugin, I will suggest that you can also install the following plugins.
1. W3 – Total Cache for effective caching
2. WP Super Minify for compressing HTML, CSS, Javascript files
3. WP Smush for optimizing images
